What is it ?.what it can do? .These are the some of the questions my friends commonly ask me.
Google cardboard is a virtual reality platform where we can actually imitate reality.This thing only
makes your brain to think that all are real around you like our real world and some times a way ahead of reality.
GOOGLE is producer of this gadget.This platform was developed by david coz and damein henry,two google engineers at google cultural institute in paris.It has been indroduced in 2014.Upto 2016 about 5 million shipments has been done allaround the world.In the mean time about 1000 of more VR applications has been made.
After hearing all this things what will we think?. It is a very complicated one,isn't ?.Actually
this gadget is this much simple that it can be build with our household items.The common people can build it.The time take do this is almost 1 hour.Procedures that has to done is mentioned in Google's official site.All you need to do is to download the pdf explaining the design and building process..The cost of producing a single cardboard is Indian rupees less than 250.
The google is coming up with more light cost models.Once the kit is obtained we require an android or ios phone whose size ranges upto 5'7 inches (140 mm). We have to attach this one to the back this device.In 2016 google indroduced a new model which can hold phones up to to the size of 6 inches (150 mm).The device currently used for triggering is a magnet which can be replaced by a lever for your convenience.
The operating systems used here are for ios,android,java,c#.In 2016 Google has indroduced a new version of OS in which we can have a 360 degree experience around mobile applications and software available.Another interesting thing is that the VR software is an open source one and it can be downloaded from the WWW GITHUB.COM site
